Dear Ohio Based Workers:
It is 2009 and we are ready to reverse the plight that surrounds us economically and financially. Our region and state has taken on many blows but it will be how we react to these circumstances that will either make us stronger or defeat us. We just know that by standing around and waiting for change to happen is NOT the answer.
In collaboration between the Ohio Department of Development, The University of Dayton Center for Competitive Change and Dayton’s Business First Team, we have assembled a program to help you become employed, NOW!
How? We are ready to start; are you? Contact Sam Wainscott at the Ohio Department of Development, Montgomery County Job Center to register for the program or schedule time to attend the BRI review session. Or call Cash, Bob, Terry, Matt or Kimber at UDRI.
What is your cost? YOUR TIME AND WILLNESS TO MOVE FORWARD. The ODoD Team will provide the financial funds to achieve your Master’s Certificate in Lean or Six Sigma from UD. It is your call – sit back or move forward.
Why? First, we have assembled an applied training program called The Get Lean® Masters Series ODoD. Second, completion of the program training will link each participant to an employer to (1) complete the certification project work and (2) provide you with an environment for an employer to conduct a “warm” interview.
The Get Lean® Masters Series ODoD Program is designed to help you build your own Lean/Six Sigma knowledge and skill. The region sees that it is through these skills that Dayton and Ohio will become a leader, more important prosper.
This program was built with inputs from our industrial regional employers who have been asking the Center to help them obtain these skills – reducing costs and increasing efficiencies. By enhancing/developing your skills in Lean and Six Sigma, then matching each participant with an employer to complete the required certification project, resolves both problems facing our region. The results for you: attain a Masters Certificate from the University of Dayton, reference letter for future interviews from the collaboration team, and project work at a potential employer.
We anticipate 2009 will become as successful as we all make it. Together, we can exceed the expectations and make The Dayton region one of the next generation business regions.
